Free online text tools
Text problems tend to be quick but annoying: an essay with a word limit, two drafts that look almost the same, a paragraph pasted from a PDF with a break in every line. These tools fix each of those in a few seconds.
Which tool do you need?
What you paste is processed on your device. The one exception to the instant start is text recognition, which downloads its language data the first time you use it. Your images are still not sent anywhere.

Questions
Why do fancy letters sometimes appear as boxes?
They are special Unicode symbols, not a font. A device that lacks those symbols shows boxes, and screen readers may read them poorly, so avoid them for important information.
How accurate is text recognition?
Sharp, evenly lit printed text works best. Handwriting, shadows and low resolution cause more mistakes, so always read through the result.
