How to use it
- Enter your options, one per line.
- Press Spin or click the wheel.
- Remove the winner if you want to go again without them.
Good to know
The result is decided using your browser's secure random generator, so every slice has the same chance.
To give an option better odds, add it twice.
Ideas for using the wheel
| Situation | Tip |
|---|---|
| Classroom | Remove each student after they are picked |
| Giveaway | Add one line for each entry |
| Choosing dinner | Enter a favourite twice to give it better odds |
| Chores | Spin once for each task |
How the result is chosen
Each spin uses your browser's cryptographic random generator, and the wheel turns six to eight full times plus a random amount. Every slice has an equal share of the circle, so the outcome does not depend on where the wheel started or how long you waited.
Practical limits
- You need at least two options to spin.
- Remove this option appears after a spin when three or more remain.
- Labels longer than 22 characters are shortened on the wheel.
- For a public giveaway, record the screen so that people can see the draw was fair, and check the local rules for prize draws.
Questions
Is it truly random?
It uses cryptographic randomness and is not influenced by previous spins.
How many options can I add?
As many as you like, but past about 30 the labels become hard to read.
