How to use it

  1. Add your HEIC photos.
  2. Use the arrows to put them in order, then pick a page size.
  3. Press Create PDF and the file will download.

Good to know

Choose A4 or Letter if the document will be printed, because the page then has a standard size. Same as image is better for reading on a screen.

Text in the PDF stays part of the picture, so it cannot be selected. Use Image to Text if you need the words.

Good uses for a photo PDF

  • Receipts for an expense claim, in date order.
  • A signed form photographed page by page.
  • ID scans that a portal wants as one upload.

Getting a tidy result

Pick A4 or Letter for anything official. With Same as image, the page takes its size from the photo at 96 pixels per inch, so a typical iPhone picture makes a page over a metre wide. Use the arrows to fix the order before you press Create PDF, as the pages cannot be rearranged afterwards.

This page accepts HEIC files only. To mix them with JPG or PNG pictures, use JPG to PDF, which takes all of these formats.

An alternative on the iPhone itself

The Notes and Files apps can scan documents straight to PDF, with automatic edge detection. That is usually better for new paperwork. This tool is for photos you have already taken.

Questions

Is there a limit on how many photos I can add?

No fixed limit, but very large batches use a lot of memory. On a phone, keep it to a few dozen at a time.

Why is my PDF so large?

Each page holds a full-resolution photo. Run the photos through the image compressor first for a smaller file.
